The Emperor Casino in Macau, China, was opened last Thursday. Twenty thousand people came to the opening of the casino, which was hosted by the movie star Jackie Chan and featured other celebrities such as Michael Hui and Louis Koo.
The Emperor casino is the 18th casino in China. The casino hotel is operated by Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited and has three levels dedicated to gambling, with 300 slot machines and all the casino table games. The casino offers gambling options to both high and low rollers. The security staff guards for 24 hours on the gold bar pieces placed underneath the floor of the casino lobby.
The executive director of Emperor Entertainment Hotel Limited, Vanessa Fan, said that a grand opening of the hotel will occur at 20 January. She hopes that the fast development of Chinas economy and its growing openness towards western tourism, will improve Macau chances to develop its industry.
