Due to the problems detected among sportsmen recently, the NCAA has decided to start a campaign against gambling among athletes. The purpose of this campaign is to reduce gambling habits among this collective. As a recent survey showed, 50% of female athletes, and nearly 75% of male athletes have gambled. Therefore, the NCAA will work hard during this season to prevent these habits among its athletes. As a matter of fact, the FBI will have talks with different teams of both male and female tournaments.
This week the NCAA holds its annual convention, which more than 2.300 delegates attend. Myles Brand, President of the NCAA, will give his State of the Association during this meeting, which will also include conference regarding relevant topics. At the start of the NCAA annual convention Rachel Newman-Baker said that since there is a problem, the association has taken measures to solve it.
